Ben Cronin founded Global Business Register Ltd back in 2007. Ben studied Business Studies in Waterford Institute of Technology and is a former Irish international rugby player. Ben’s background has been primarily in the area of project management and business start-ups. Successful business ventures include investments in restaurants, construction and development businesses and bid management of a number of PPU projects with the Health Service Executive (HSE). With this experience, he knows how important trust is in every business scenario.
Ben leads the team with a very approachable and laid-back personality. The customer experience is his number one priority and Ben ensures each customer receives the best support and is always on hand to resolve any queries.
Robert Leslie, a Waterford native, is the other founder of Global Business Register. Robert is a DCU graduate, in electronic engineering. After graduating Rob accepted a job offer in Tokyo, Japan and ended up staying there for the next 20 years. He worked for a number of Japanese electronics companies before being central to the management team that launched Dell into the Japanese market. Rob was also involved in a number of I.T. ventures that were successfully acquired.
Rob brings a wealth of ideas and vision to the company and is known for his daily white-board drawings and mind maps! Rob believes no idea is too big or too small and is on a mission to make a difference.
Kieran has been working in commercial software for 12 years. During this time he has worked on various projects delivering solutions to the Utility, Financial and Research sectors. His experience incorporates database technologies, instant messaging, http, and server side technologies such as JSP, EJB, Spring and .NET. Most recently he has worked on projects focussed on scalability and performance for services coping with large scale online demands.
With broad experience of working on successful software projects, Kieran has developed a keen interest in two of the key factors in any successful project: From a technical context, the design of systems with an emphasis on scalability, extensibility and availability, and secondly, with regard to the people that comprise a project team, Kieran places emphasis on generating an environment of collaboration and cooperation. He has also passionate about the potential of each individual in the organisation and regular sessions are held to gather input from all the guys in the organisation on all aspects of company life.
